New WSPTA Honorary Life Membership Award

Picture
For the first time, Northshore Council PTSA will be presenting a WSPTA “Honorary Life Membership” Award at our annual Spring Recognition Brunch, but we need your nominations to make it happen!
This special award is given to an individual who has not only volunteered their time and made a significant contribution to PTA, but who also has a strong belief in PTA, works with the organization and supports its growth and development.

Additionally, the award supports financial grants for students pursuing post-secondary education. Donations are made in each recipient’s name to the fund, which in turn contributes to the future of youth by awarding grants to students who are freshmen entering postsecondary education.

Here’s the information we need:
  Name of nominee
  PTA service, qualifications (please give as much detail as possible) and an explanation as to why you think they should be honored.
  Your name, phone number and e-mail.

Nominations may be e-mailed to Sue Freeman at Suefree7@hotmail.com, Cindy Jensen at  cindyj@outlook.com, or Stephanie Tastad at stephanie.tastad2010@gmail.com.

Deadline for nominations is April 15, 2013
Awards will be presented at the May 2013 Spring Recognition Brunch.

Looking to re-do your Local Unit website?

Picture
If your Local Unit's website is still housed on nsd.org, it needs to be moved. WA State PTA has developed a relationship with ourschoolpages.com, an easy-to-use and intuitive web service that looks great and provides some great tools for your team! Check it out and see if it works for you! This year's State Convention will have a class run by the developer in case you want to learn more about it. (Summer time is a perfect time to re-build your PTA website... Plan ahead!)
