Northshore Council PTSA 6.10 Goals & Objectives
In the year 2007-2008, the Northshore Council PTSA 6.10 hopes to accomplish the following goals by performing the objective attached to each goal:
Goal: Determine the needs of local units through surveys, meeting and event input and feedback, and area vice president’s relationship with the local unit Board members.
Promote teamwork, improve communications, and provide educational and networking opportunities that foster leadership in our local units.
Objective: LOCAL UNIT SUPPORT
Lend support to the local PTA units by providing educational opportunities, mentoring, access to resource materials, and the sharing of Northshore School District information.We provide this service through frequent meetings, newsletter, e-mails, evaluations, surveys, and personal contact with local unit members.
Goal: Engage in a close working relationship with the Northshore School District Administration, School Board, and the surrounding community in order to better serve the needs of children and youth in our District.
Objective: KEY RELATIONSHIPS WITH NORTHSHORE SCHOOL DISTICT
Keep in close contact with the Northshore School District Administration and School Board so vital information is shared with the local units. Council seeks out participants throughout Northshore PTAs for varied District committees and task forces so a wide variety of opinions can be heard.
Goal: Provide support for educational and political issues affecting the whole child, and encourage and support projects in local units and the community that promote the well-being of children.
Objective: PROGRAMS
Provide volunteers for local levy campaigning, funds to support the local levy election, participating in Olympia at Focus Day, attending the Legislative Assembly, writing letters and sending e-mails to politicians. Provide scholarship for students, and sharing pertinent information on social issues and programs that affect children.
