Area Vice President’s Role
In the Northshore PTSA Council, we have divided our school district into three pathways. This is mainly driven by the high school that each local unit feeds into so we have Area VPs for Bothell High School, Inglemoor High School and Woodinville High School feeder patterns. There are some exceptions to this rule due to boundaries that our district has set.
Each Region has a Vice President(s) who sits on the Executive Board at the council level to help organize, inform and advise local units that they support. Region VP’s usually have considerable experience in various PTA roles and have much expertise to share with you.
When you have a question at the local unit level, this person should be your first contact to help you. The Area VP will attend your local unit general meeting if needed; contact you to let you know of upcoming meetings and events, support you with questions about legislative issues at the state and local levels, and generally assist you with any need you have regarding your PTA.
They also take an active role assisting the Council President(s) and Executive Board in decision making for all items that come before the Northshore PTSA Council.
The Area VPs will be listed in a few places with their name, phone number and email. Please use their valuable talents as they work for YOU and look to hear from your Area VP from time to time during the school year!
